Am I doing this right?

*an ammendmant and correction to my previous post. I was having technical difficulties!

I started painting. Are there techniques I should know about? Hope itlooks good in the end...

I'll need a couple more coats, but I'm excited!

Carol just told me about some techniques she learned while watching Trading Spaces (oh TLC, you have earned your name!) I'm going to try them out on coat two tomorrow. Hopefully it works!
