settling in

i'm sitting here, in my new house, watching a little tv before lunch/in between laundry loads. so far, the transition from chicago to aruba to new england, from singleness to married life has been good and easy. (not that i was worried about it being incredibly hard or heart-wrenching...just something i knew nothing about.)

well, maybe at this point, my new life hasn't fully set in yet. i feel emotionless about it. not in a bad way, because i feel very at peace and happy. it's surreal still. i am fully enjoying being a wife though!

i just started reading through 1 john, and i've been drawn to the description and use of the word "fellowship" in the first chapter. normally, the word "fellowship" makes me think of "communion with others, community, association," etc. but my Bible describes it as "the experience of hearing, seeing, and touching Christ...spiritual union of the believer with Christ." i think this creates a more in-depth definition of our relationship with Christ and makes the act of fellowship more meaningful. and i like it! :)
