at last...

am i nervous? yes. am i excited? so much more. and, it's a beautiful morning! thank you Jesus. :)

on a less sappy note, while watching the regional dopplar radar this morning to see if it will rain today, i started looking at the great lakes. it's weird that they surround michigan. but anyway, i became interested in lake superior, so, naturally, i wikipedia-ed it. very interesting. a few notes:
1. the original name, in French, really means "upper lake" because it's located above lake huron, not because it's the biggest great lake. i definitely thought the latter...
2. the lake is larger than south carolina. haha.
3. there's enough h2o in it to cover all of north and south america with a foot of h2o. yikes.
4. they show a picture of lake superior, in winter, from duluth. my first thought: dave bjorlin.
5. annual storm waves are over 20 feet. scary.
